The origin of Recras
In 2003 Harrie Kerssies and Marthijn Wolting founded ‚Taribush‘, a recreation business for all kinds of family and company outings in Drenthe, a northern province in the Netherlands. During the first couple of years, both owners were rather busy working their other full-time jobs and this made it quite difficult to take care of Taribush’s administration. They needed a system that could keep track of their reservations and everything that comes with it.
In 2006 they ran into Tijmen Klein. In the years before he had started his own computer programming company ‚Klein Informatica‘ and decided to take on this challenge to help Harrie and Marthijn get rid of all their administrative hassle. In the years to come, the guys of Taribush made their wishes for a system known and Tijmen created the first web-based version of the programme.
When in 2010 another leisure entrepreneur saw by chance what kind of system Taribush was using to keep track of all reservations, he yelled out: „That’s what I need!“. Harrie, Marthijn and Tijmen then joined forces and launched Recras: an administration and reservation system for the recreation industry, developed by a unique combination of recreation entrepreneurs and programmers.
